These pillow covers were a very special find in La Paz, Bolivia. I was walking along the street of my hotel, probably looking for food, and found this little shop that had all artisan crafted items for sale. These pillow covers come from a small village in the mountains. The women spun the thread from wool, dyed it, and then made these pillow covers from that. All proceeds from this shop in the city went back to supporting the villages that produced these goods.
There are two pillow cases to choose from, each one signed (in embroidery) by the artisan who made them. Your order will be sent with the pamplet that came with them, although I can't promise I will have any more that are in English.
These are square and fit smaller pillows (or you could make a custom size pillow). I squished a 14 x 14 pillow into mine, but it pops out of the back a little bit!
