"Many years ago, someone reached out to me at a pivotal time in my life to remind me that money does NOT equal worthiness. Even though I couldn't afford the price tag, she welcomed me to her program. She was the one who opened the door for me to start to heal. The Initiative is just one attempt to steward the message of worthiness."

Accessibility & Inclusivity Initiative

In 2019, Nancy launched the FBW Scholarship Fund, a passion project dedicated to keeping natural wellness financially accessible. The scholarship fund provides need-based scholarships for the Overcome! Anxiety Program, an online program for those living with PTSD and anxiety, as well as private therapeutic programs with Nancy.

Nancy is currently working toward sponsorship that would allow her to provide yoga mats and other props used in her programs to full scholarship recipients. She is passionate about using her creativity to try and invent ways to get this work out to more people.

How are scholarship recipients selected?

Need-based scholarships are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.

Nancy waives her teaching fee for all scholarship recipients, and they are asked to cover any overhead costs associated with their attendance.

Full scholarships are awarded on a case by case basis when funds are available, but cannot always be guaranteed.

What does the fund pay for?

All moneys donated to the fund are reserved until someone applies for a scholarship for either the Overcome! program, or one of Nancy's online therapeutic programs.

The funds are used for slightly different things, depending on which event they're going towards.

Pricing is calculated by splitting the overhead cost of the event among all participants and then adding on the teaching fee. Scholarship recipients who cannot cover their percentage of the overhead cost for the event they're attending would have their portion funded by the scholarship.

A portion of the scholarship fund may be used to cover a portion of the overhead costs associated with running an event or providing a service:

In-person events

  • renting the wellness center

  • printing costs for manuals or handouts

  • materials costs

  • marketing costs (only paid ads for the specific event the scholarship recipient is attending count toward marketing costs)

  • compensating guest teachers

Online events

  • zoom subscription

  • Overcome Anxiety online platform subscription (to provide lifetime access to the program for participants)

  • web hosting for online courses

  • marketing costs (only paid ads for the specific event the scholarship recipient is attending count toward marketing costs)

  • compensating guest teachers
